I love stuffing/dressing. LOVE IT! My hus­band, not so much! But he enjoyed this so much! Who needs bread?!
Ingre­di­ents
  • 1 Large Car­rot (or 2 small ones), diced.
  • 2 Stalks of cel­ery, diced.
  • 1 Large Onion, diced.
  • 1 Large Red Apple, diced.
  • 4 Cloves of Gar­lic, minced.
  • 2 lbs Ground Ital­ian Sausage (nitrate free if possible).
  • 1 tbs oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp poul­try seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup of Chicken Broth
Instruc­tions
  1. Sauté sausage in chicken fryer until brown on out­side but still pink in the mid­dle. Be sure to break it up into fine pieces.
  2. Scoop out sausage and set aside.
  3. In the fat from sausage, sauté the veg­gies until onions are clear.
  4. Add apples to pan and mix in seasoning.
  5. Mix veg­gies and apples with sausage. Be sure to mix well.
  6. Pour into 9“x11” pan spread­ing so that it is even.
  7. Add chicken broth.
  8. Back at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
